Jerry O'Connell was mentioned in the August 29th edition of Ted Casablanca's "The Awful Truth" at E! Online. (Thanks to dmk and Shari_Lynn for passing the news along) Here's what Ted had to say:

More than ready to dish about life on camera was jovial Swimfan guest Jerry O'Connell, who made a beeline toward me with a definite agenda on his mind.

"Let's talk about Anna Nicole," insisted J.O.C., whose date, appropriately enough, was four-time Olympic gold medal swimmer Janet Evans. "Been watching," I asked?

[Smith] "I've watched them all," he said of Anna's weekly excellent adventures on E!, and then leaned in and murmured, "Did you watch the show last week?"

"How could I miss it?"

"Man. I don't know," he said, arms crossed, head shaking. "You know what I'm talking about? When she went to the bathroom? What was that? I don't know what to say here. I'm still processing it."

So are the rest of us, Jer-babe, so are the rest of us.

Prime-beef P.S.: "My brother and I went on vacation to Mexico," added Mr. O., "and as a joke, we got matching red Speedos. We dared each other to wear them down to the pool. We lasted, like, 10 minutes. But all of the men were trying to talk to us."

According to the episode synopsis at NBCmv.com, Jerry O'Connell will be guest starring in the season premiere of Crossing Jordan.

"Also returning is Jerry O’Connell (“Jerry Maguire”) as detective Woody Hoyt, a naïve Wisconsin native who’s determined to do his job properly while earning Jordan’s trust in the process."

So will we actually see him crossing Jordan's bedroom floor any time soon? Jerry then went on to talk about his character and mentioned he's been spending a lot of time at the gym getting beefcaked up for a love scene in the fifth episode. "If you're like me, and you're not, you may have been wondering what happened to 'Down and Under', the Jerry Bruckheimer action comedy that stars Jerry O'Connell and my pal Anthony Anderson. So when I ran into Anthony at the [ ] barbershop over the weekend I asked him 'What happened to Down and Under?' He told me that the movie which follows two dimwitted New Yorkers to the Australian Outback where they lose the mob's money to a kangaroo has been undergoing reshoots. Now usually that's a bad sign. But in this case Anthony tells me that after a wild response from kids to the movie at test screenings they are adding more scenes with that lovable kangaroo who steals. Which may explain why the movie has been rechristened Kangaroo Jack."

I saw it for the first time with my grandmother, and the big joke in my family is that when the lights went down, I leaned over to her and said, 'Grandma, why is it so dark in here?' The appeal of Hard-to-get women

Guys love to work for their dates. It's the classic cookie-in-the-cookie-jar situation -- you're told you can't have something, and that only makes you want it more. I'm definitely attracted to women who look like they're going to require a lot of work but will appreciate my effort. For the ones I really want, I have to have my A game on.

One "no" is not going to discourage most men. Once I met a girl who wasn't ready to give me her phone number right away; she made me memorize her e-mail address. Every time I wrote her an e-mail she thought was funny, she gave me another digit of her number. Ten e-mails later, I finally pieced the whole thing together. That was hard -- I had to break out the thesaurus on several occasions. But there was a sense of accomplishment, that I'd really earned the number. You don't get that with some girl who goes, "Here's my number -- call me," then tries to drag you into her house on the first date. I'm scared of women like that. I start to think, My God, I'm funny, but not that funny. How many other guys have been here before me?
