JERRY O'CONNELL and TONY DANZA got Memorial Day in America off to
a fighting start yesterday morning (30MAY05) when they donned Sumo
suits and challenged each other to a battle of the bulge.
KANGAROO

he had an unfair advantage as he had experience of battling in a fat
suit.
He explained,
"I did it in a bar with my brother, I was really drunk."
O'Connell
won the battle when he knocked the chat show host over three times.
The fight
was stopped when the two stars were giggling so much, they couldn't
go on.

Jerry and Rebecca
are featured on page 78 of In Touch Magazine (May 30, 2005). There is
also a brief mention on page 27.
In touch
with their real sides!
Jerry
and Rebecca: not always dressed up! Just because they're glamorous
celebs doesn't mean Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn always hit
the town in their Sunday best. The cute couple took advantage of a
gorgeous spring afternoon in New York with a romantic stroll around
the art galleries of Chelsea in their most comfortable, relaxed clothes.
It looks like Jerry didn't even bother to comb his hair!
SEEN &
HEARD Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell may be headed to the
altar soon. At a DKNY Jeans/Jaguar event in Palm Springs, Calif.,
the couple looked closer than ever. When In Touch caught up
with Jerry at a Crown Royal party at the Kentucky Derby, he bragged,
"When we're getting married is our little secret!"

May 14, 2005
-- TV's "Upfronts" aren't just the week when the networks
decide the fate of TV shows — it's also another opportunity for celebrity
swagaholics to gorge on free products. Following the lead of "hospitality
suites" that cropped up at the Oscars, the Grammys and the Sundance
Film Festival, Lucky and Cargo magazine are teaming up to coddle Hollywood
B-listers at the Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South Monday through
Wednesday. Expected guests Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O'Connell,
Adam Brody, Ben McKenzie, Danny Masterson and Amanda Bynes will be
offered gratis goodies from Bose, Frye Boots, Keds, Le Tigre, Lia

JERRY
AND REBECCA SIGHTING
5/15/05
Jerry and Rebecca
were spotted this week at the outdoor bar Garden on the ground floor
of Hotel Gansevoort in New York City. The following article from the
New York Times mentions the couple.
NEW YORK
TIMES
Snazzy Meets Sneakers
By VICTORIA DeSILVERIO
Published: May 15, 2005
I wanted
to take my boyfriend somewhere to get crazy and sexy," said Leah
Cary, 24, sitting on a chaise longue at the Garden, a new open-air
spot in the meatpacking district. Ms. Cary, an actress, was doing
several things at once: smoking, making out and taking swigs from
a bottle of white wine. A silky pink shirt slipped off her shoulder
as she wrapped herself around her boyfriend, Adam Bennati, a member
of the heavy metal band Early Man. He was in denim and a black Joy
Division T-shirt.
"We
don't dress fancy but we go to fancy places," he offered.
On the ground
floor of the Hotel Gansevoort, the Garden was designed by Jeffrey
Beers (China Grill, the Dylan) and operated by BPC, the nightlife
developers behind SkyBar in Miami. Palm trees, cream-colored canvas
cabanas, low-level lighting and teak give the room a South Beach and
Asian fusion atmosphere. Four cabanas, tricked out with heating lamps
and flat screen TV's, are protected from gawkers by an iron gate and
black bamboo walls. Opposite the cabanas is a raised seating area
floating over a reflecting pool, inspired by a dining platform that
is placed over parts of the Kibunegawa river in Kyoto in the summertime.
A high-tech retractable roof allows the Garden to remain open in all
weather.
Since it
is outside, smokers are free to light up. Like chickens breaking out
of shells, most everyone here broke out of the nonsmoking zone to
relish cigarette puffs and sips of wine. "I'm trying to quit,"
said the actor Jerry O'Connell, the star of "Kangaroo
Jack," sheepishly admitting that though he wasn't lighting up
that moment, his desire for a smoke was heating up. "This place
is dark and classy, and it reminds me of Bowery Bar," he said.
"Back in 1995, when I was a lowly N.Y.U. student, I wasn't allowed
in because I was wearing sneakers."
Mr. O'Connell
laughed and lifted his leg to show a Nike cross-trainer. His girlfriend,
the actress Rebecca Romijn, looked over puzzled. Across the
way, opening the door to the women's room was a statuesque blond in
a sheer black top. Peeking out from pencil-thin black pants were a
pair of tan snakeskin boots. Apologizing to the attendant, he said,
"Putting on lip gloss in the boys' room just didn't work."

on page 30.
How Jerry
Romances Rebecca He has had the boyfriend gig for nine months,
but Jerry O'Connell tells Us he's still out to woo Rebecca Romijn.
The latest? Playing chauffeur while the actress, 32, shoots her Pepper
Dennis drama series pilot for the WB. "She's been working these
insanely long hours," says the Crossing Jordan star, 31. "Like
16-hour days! so I drop her off and pick her up - every day."
Adds Romijn, "He even went to get coffee for me and ended up
having to get it for everyone on-set. He's so sweet." The one
drawback to dating Romijn? "We were at the Dodgers game last
week, and I had to constantly fend off guys trying to come up to her,'
says O'Connell with a laugh. "I'm not out of shape or anything,
but these were some big guys!"
Romijn and
O'Connell chilled poolside at the April 30 bash DKNY Jeans and Jaguar
hosted at the Sanctuary at Lago Sol in Rancho Mirage, California.

you know what? When you come with a really, like, beautiful woman it's
like a whole different story. It's really exciting." Rebecca -

Celebs
saddle up for the Derby
By Larry

Giacomo,
the horse that won Saturday's Kentucky Derby, may have been a virtual
unknown, but Louisville was filled with A-listers who turned out for
the big race and Derby Eve festivities.
The odds-on
favorite party to attend Friday was the Barnstable Brown bash hosted
by Priscilla Barnstable and Patricia Barnstable Brown, famous as the
twins in the '70s Doublemint gum ads.
Grammy-winning
singer Usher, actress Rebecca Romijn and beau Jerry O'Connell, actor
Cuba Gooding Jr., Lost's Matthew Fox, crooner
Josh Groban and rocker Kid Rock were among the celebs who showed at
the $1,200-a-head fundraiser to benefit diabetes research. The bash
was held at Barnstable Brown's house.
Usher told
fans lined up outside, "Jermaine (Dupri) told me this was the
place to be, so I said, 'Let's do it.' " Kid Rock came with two
women in tow. "Who wouldn't want two dates?" he said. Tara
Reid didn't have a ticket and was stopped by security, but after fans
chanted, "Let Tara in," guards let her pass.
Inside, guests
sipped mint juleps and chowed down on beef tenderloin, stuffed lobster
and corn pudding. Romijn and O'Connell couldn't take their eyes off
each other, but for Dupri, the evening's eye-catcher was Michael Jordan,
who arrived late, ate double portions of dinner and bobbed his head
to music piped into the party's VIP section.
Saturday,
celebs showed up at the races in colorful attire. Victoria Gotti of
A&E's Growing Up Gotti wore a tan Halston suit and a large, fluffy
hat. Romijn, in a muticolored Missoni dress, canoodled in the stands
with O'Connell. Usher puffed on a cigar in a blue suit with a pink-and-white-checkered
shirt. Kid Rock sported a custom-made pastel blue suit and $1,200
pink alligator shoes.
Few stars
laid bets on Giacomo. When spectators shouted "Show me the money"
to Jerry Maguire's Gooding, all he had to flaunt was a $20 bill. Said
Romijn: "We didn't win, but we're lucky in love."

Report: Coachella goes Hollywood!
It was like
a Beanie Baby freakout for drunk hipsters at Filter mag’s pre-Coachella
bash Friday night: Things got a little aggro in the Converse giveaway
room, as greedy partyers shoved each other and stuck as many free
sneaks as they could in bags, under arms and over shoulders, all while
impressively downing cocktails. (The All-Star/Chuck Taylor quotient
at the concert the next day was ridiculous, of course.) Coachella
ain’t the new Sundance, but it did seem like it at the Jaguar/DKNY
house in Palm Desert, which was open all day Saturday and Sunday.
Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell and Nicole Richie were chauffeured
from the show to the swanky pad, where they got free bikinis and massages.

OPRAH
TREATS O'CONNELL TO A HOME MAKEOVER
Actor Jerry O'Connell was so concerned his new girlfriend Rebecca
Romijn would dump him after visiting his messy bachelor pad, he called
in Oprah Winfrey to help him transform the place.
The media
mogul commissioned her favorite designer Nate Berkus to revamp the
college dorm-style home.
O'Connell
confessed, "I am beyond embarrassed. My big problem is bringing
my girlfriend here."
Before the
home makeover, the 31-year-old actor used a ping-pong table as his
dining table and had a treadmill and two thrift store armchairs in
his living room.
He told Berkus
that he had held back from redesigning his home because he didn't
have a clue about decorating the place.
He added,
"At one time I didn't care what people thought, but now that
I'm 30, and I'm entering different a stage in my life, I just can't
bring anyone up here. I have zero design capabilities."
O'Connell
was brought to tears with the stylish makeover when Berkus unveiled
a huge painting by his artist father Michael O'Connell in his bedroom.
The thrilled
star then invited former model Romijn to check out his new home. She
said, "I love it. There's so many places to put your cocktail
down, besides a ping-pong table."
