Lachey, Romijn head for Barnstable Brown

When Nick
Lachey and Rebecca Romijn saunter into the Barnstable Brown Gala next
Friday, two people will be conspicuously absent -- their famous spouses.
Make that
ex-spouse in Romijn's case. The supermodel's divorce from actor John
Stamos became official last month.
Don't get
your hopes up, guys. BBG hostess Tricia Barnstable Brown says the
former Sports Illustrated swimsuit diva will be accompanied by her
new beau, actor Jerry O'Connell.
Lachey, however,
will be flying solo. Wife Jessica Simpson, Lachey's BBG date in 2002
and '04, is too swamped with work to return this year, Barnstable
Brown said. She has been shooting "The Dukes of Hazzard"
movie in Louisiana and a variety show with Lachey that will air on
ABC next month.
Lachey and
Simpson recently pulled the plug on "Newlyweds," their popular
MTV reality show. Lachey is working on an MTV show of his own, "The
Nick Lachey Project."
Romijn is
busy, too. She is currently filming "Man About Town" with
Ben Affleck.

JERRY
AND REBECCA DO LUNCH

Romijn
calm while beau gets needled for bedroom boost
Does Rebecca
Romijn's boyfriend suffer from sexual dysfunction?
"Crossing
Jordan" hunk Jerry O'Connell says he recently visited a female
acupuncturist in L.A.'s Little Tokyo neighborhood, complaining of
"problems in the bedroom."
"So
they put all these needles into my lower stomach, and then she attaches
these electrodes," the 31-year-old O'Connell regaled his tablemates
at a lunch in Los Angeles that included his 32-year-old girlfriend
and "Oprah" interior decorator Nate Berkus.
"Jerry
likes to exaggerate," Romijn chimed in, adding that she later
revealed to the acupuncturist that O'Connell, in truth, is a total
stud in the lovemaking department.
"She
freaked out," Romijn said. "She said you could do serious
damage to your kidney or pancreas or whatever [with an unnecessary
treatment]. They take acupuncture really seriously. It's like going
to the hospital for them."
The 33-year-old
Berkus - whose redesign of O'Connell's house will be featured on Monday's
"Oprah" - confided that he was considering a different sort
of treatment.
"I was
thinking about getting some Restylane injections," Berkus blurted,
referring to popular treatment to add volume to lips and fill in wrinkles
and folds.
Romijn reassured
him: "You totally don't need them."

Pair of
parachute pants drops O'Connell into Romijn's life
By Inside Track
Wednesday, April 27, 2005 - Updated: 01:30 AM EST
So how did
``X-Men'' sexpot Rebecca Romijn hook up with her ``Crossing Jordan''
star boytoy Jerry O'Connell
All it took was a pair of ``M.C. Hammer-Buttafuoco pants and a cutoff
shirt,'' according to the actress who was overheard dishing poolside
in Beverly Hills by a spy for the Daily News.
Back in June, while the ex-Mrs. John Stamos was sunning herself poolside
at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Jerry butted into a conversation
about making a movie, ``choreographed to the Bellagio fountains,''
Romijn told ``Oprah'' interior designer Nate Berkus.
``He wanted to know if he could hold the `boom' for the movie,'' she
giggled. ``He kept saying, `I'm an excellent boomer. Please let me
boom for you.' ''
So she and her cabana mate agreed he could - only if O'Connell wore
the offending parachute pants. Which he did. And they've been together
ever since!
The former supermodel also told Berkus she and her ``Jake in Progress''
hubby actually separated a year before it hit the press after months
of fighting.
``We fought from the very beginning, and we just fought and fought,''
Rebecca said. ``I just got sick of John being mad all the time. He
was always so mad.''

Romijn
tells why Stamos is her ex-man
'X-Men" stunner Rebecca Romijn, her "Crossing Jordan"-star
boyfriend Jerry O'Connell and "Oprah" interior decorator
Nate Berkus dished about their love lives during an intimate poolside
lunch on Saturday at The Four Seasons Hotel in L.A.
The juicy
stuff was traded within earshot of a Lowdown spy.
"Did
you start dating instantly as soon as your marriage broke up?"
Berkus was heard asking John Stamos' ex-wife, whose flack officially
announced their separation in April 2004, after five years of marriage.
"Yeah,
but we'd actually been separated a year before we told the press about
it," Romijn confided. "We were in couples' therapy before
and after we separated, and we briefly got back together. But we fought
from the very beginning, and we just fought and fought. I just got
so sick of John being mad all the time. He was always so mad."
As for O'Connell,
Romijn told Berkus they initially met briefly at the Beverly Hills
Hotel five years ago. "He made me laugh," she recalled.
But they
didn't become an item until June 2004, when they met in Las Vegas
- poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel - where Romijn was on hand for the
Maxim Hot 100 party.
The shirtless
O'Connell, lounging near her cabana, jumped into a conversation about
making a movie "choreographed to the Bellagio fountains,"
Romijn explained.
"He
wanted to know if he could hold the 'boom' for the movie," Romijn
went on. 'He kept saying 'I'm an excellent boomer. Please let me boom
for you.'"
She and a
friend named "Steve" finally agreed to let O'Connell help
out if he would wear "M.C. Hammer Buttafuoco pants and a cutoff
shirt," Romijn said with a giggle.
He did -
and they've been together ever since.
Yesterday,
Hollywood flack Lewis Kay - who reps both Romijn and Stamos - said
only: "It is unfortunate that your source would eavesdrop on
what was obviously a private and personal conversation."
