Jordan'
Gets Early Pickup for 4th Season

LOS
ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Crossing Jordan," which
recently returned to NBC's schedule following an eight-month hiatus
to accommodate the pregnancy of star Jill Hennessy, is crossing into
Year 4 with an early pickup for next season.
In
its four airings in its new Sunday 10 p.m. slot, the crime drama has
averaged a 4.8 rating/13 share among adults 18-49 and 13.1 million
total viewers. The show has dominated the post-"Law & Order:
Criminal Intent" time period with a 41% margin of victory in
18-49 and 39% in total viewers.
"For
three years, we've been looking for the right show to pair with 'Law
& Order: Criminal Intent,' and we've finally found it in 'Crossing
Jordan,"' said Jeff Zucker, president of the NBC Entertainment,
Cable and News Group. "The show has clearly earned this early
pickup and signals the strength and stability of our new Sunday night
schedule."
In
addition to Hennessy, who stars as strong-willed medical examiner
Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, "Jordan" co-stars Miguel Ferrer and
Jerry O'Connell.

According
to IMDB.com,

JERRY'S
BROTHER SPOTTED AT THE BEVERLY HILLS COURTHOUSE
3/25/04
Jerry's
younger brother Charlie got this mention in Ted Casablanca's column
at EOnline.com:
THE AWFUL
TRUTH
March 11, 2004
To my Sunset
Strip honeys, I'm telling ya, use the crosswalk to get to
Sky Bar, or you'll get a damn ticket--even if you have celeb DNA
trickling in your veins.
Jerry O'Connell's
kid bro, Charlie (who has done some acting himself),
received a most plebeian citation for jaywalking across congested
Sunset Boulevard. And when it came time to appear before the judge,
Charlie and his brawny buds made a runway out of the Beverly Hills
Courthouse, showing up looking like frat bros in wedding suits.
Could that
be why the dudes got off--despite some cockamamy tale how
they were all just looking out for some drunk pal? What has that judge
been imbibing?

TESTS WELL WITH CROSSING JORDAN AUDIENCE

The
following mention was taken from About.com
Primetime TV:
Jimmie
makes the case for four series you may not be watching
Slap!
for Jill Hennessey for her catty behind the scenes behavior. After
some focus group testing on the NBC series Crossing Jordan, Jill Hennessey
allegedly went batty -- and catty -- when it turned out that the favorite
character and actor involved with the series was not her. In fact,
Jerry O'Connell's Woody was selected as the favorite by the
test groups -- receiving almost twice as much acclaim as any other
actor or character on the show.
This
allegedly led to Hennessey demanding that her part be juiced up for
Crossing Jordan's midseason return -- and Jerry's character to be
minimized. It looks like the proposed Woody spin-off may not have
been such a bad idea after all.

HALLIWELL'S
EX KICKED OUT OF PARTY OVER GUN MISTAKE
Geri Halliwell's actor ex Jerry O'Connell was recently barred from
a Hollywood party for turning up with an unloaded gun.
The
"Kangaroo Jack" star forgot to hand over his gun after leaving
the set of his TV drama "Crossing Jordan," in which he plays
a cop, and a security guard found the weapon when he frisked him outside
the party.
O'Connell
says, "I rolled into the party in my suit and they were frisking
people as they walked in and I wasn't thinking anything of it. And
the guy frisked me and he was like, 'Yo man, what's this?' and I had
my gun there and my badge.
"It's
a real gun, but it's not loaded. I said, 'This isn't mine, you see
I'm an actor,' and he was like, 'We have a gun, we have a gun.' I
was running back to my car."
O'Connell
managed to stash his TV gun in his car before returning to the party.
He adds, "I came back and they wouldn't let me in the party.
They thought I was like a hoodlum."
