CROSSING
JORDAN RETURNS IN 2005
12/28/04
New episodes
of Crossing Jordan are schedule to air starting January 2, 2005. The
January 2-9 2005 issue of TV Guide has some information about the upcoming
episodes. Thanks to Tracey for the information. Here's the blurb and
photo from TV Guide:
Crossing
Jordan
NBC,
Sunday, 10pm (returns 1/2)
WHERE
WE LEFT Boston medical examiner Jordan Cavanaugh (Jill Hennessy)
continued to get closer to one particular body, Det. Woody Hoyt (Jerry
O'Connell). Meanwhile, she's also been accumulating clues about her
mother's mysterious death.
COMING
SOON Jordan's father (Ken Howard), who vanished form the series
last season, returns after searching for her mother's killer. Jordan
finds time to travel to Los Angeles with Woody, where they solve a
case and have a little fun in a karaoke bar. Woody will also have
to deal with the arrival of his ne'er-do-well brother (played by O'Connell's
real-life brother Charlie), who is harboring dark secrets and desires.
According to
Allan A (Allan Arkush - Producer/Director) at the Crossing
Jordan Coffeerooms, "don't believe everything you read &
where TV Guide puts the emPHAsis in what they write. Too much Woody?!?
Give me a break, you guys are always wanting more Woody & Jordan!!
When we do it some one worries that we are phasing out the other characters.....NOT
TRUE!!! Macy will be a little light for 2 episodes in Feb. & March
so that Miguel would have time to prep the episode that he directed,
which is the return of Max Cavanaugh. He had to prep during "Grey
Murders" so he does not carry an entire story in that episode,
otherwise he is still running the morgue & all that entails."
Here are the
upcoming episode descriptions from NBCUMV.com:
CROSSING
JORDAN
A STRANGER AMONG US
01-02-2005 10:00PM
WOODY
AND JORDAN SEARCH FOR A MOTIVE FOR A SEEMINGLY RANDOM MASS SHOOTING
-- A mass homicide at a local diner has Woody (Jerry O'Connell) searching
for a motive until the FBI reveals the alleged shooter's identity
and link to a recently arrested drug kingpin. Skeptical of the FBI's
account of the crime, the Boston detective relies on Jordan (Jill
Hennessy) and Garret (Miguel Ferrer) to help uncover the true coarse
of events that lead to this bloody scene. Meanwhile, Bug (Ravi Kapoor)
and Sydney's (Eugene Byrd) ongoing turf war causes problems during
a routine autopsy when they mistakenly give the victim's wife a little
more than her husband's personal effects. Kathryn Hahn and Steve Valentine
also star.
CROSSING
JORDAN
MURDER IN THE RUE MORGUE
01-09-2005 10:00PM
A
MURDER IN THE MORGUE LEADS TO A SHOCKING DISCOVERY -- When a crazed
gunman opens fire in the morgue killing a seemingly innocent bystander,
Jordan (Jill Hennessy) searches the morgue's recent intakes for clues
to this allegedly random homicide. In the process, she uncovers the
shooter's first victim. However, as the shooter continues his killing
spree, the trail of victims leads to a murdered child prostitute,
prompting Woody (Jerry O'Connell) to uncover the shocking motive behind
this murderous rampage. Miguel Ferrer, Ravi Kapoor, Steve Valentine
and Kathryn Hahn also star.
HOUSE-HUNTING
12/28/04
The January
3, 2005 issue of In Touch magazine mentions Jerry on page 85:
Jerry
& Rebecca: Moving In? Jerry O'Connell is house-hunting for a home
big enough to raise a family! He already owns a condo in West Hollywood
that's suitable for him, but now that he's getting serious with Rebecca
Romijn, he needs a bigger place - one big enough to maybe even raise
a family! Jerry's been in Vancouver filming a movie, but during his
jaunts back to LA, he's found the time to tour some available homes.
"He's looking for a mid-century, modern home," an insider
says.
VH1'S
MY COOLEST YEARS: THE GEEKS
12/18/04
According to
Grace, comedian Jessi Klein tells a story about being junior high classmates
with Jerry O'Connell in the VH1 show "My
Coolest Years: The Geeks". As the story goes, the two of them
chatted about their favorite cartoons in class one day. They both liked
"Josie and the Pussycats," and Jessi hoped that this common
interest might lead to the two of them going out on a date. In the end
it turned out she and Jerry didn't speak to one another very often.

Cuts Like a Mother
Ran into the man Rebecca Romijn ran to after excising the Stamos (as
in, hubby John) from her papers and boudoir. Small world, as Jerry
O'Connell vamoosed to R.R. after he split with my good bud and E!
colleague Giuliana DePandi. But Jer has always been sweet as an ab-perf
peach to me. I felt similarly.
So, I said
hullo when the Crossing Jordan emoter was having a bite with his
folks and looker bro, Charlie, at Hamburger Hamlet on the Strip.
J.O., nice
as evah, nevertheless started yankin' my chain about things I've
written regarding his "sexually promiscuous girlfriend"
(words Jerry used, not I, and in front of his mother). "I do
realize you have a job to do," Mr. O. piped.
"Well,"
I ditto-piped, "since you brought the new g-f up, word is she's
preggers and you're gonna be a dad. Any comment?"
Eyebrows
arched all around the table, I can assure you. Then like a flack
outta hell, Jer's sturdy mama mimed stabbing me with a knife, making
it clear she would detest such news, were it true.
Oddly enough,
surreal, slightly nervous laughter followed the Psycho reenactment.
Consummate press-pro he be, Jerry evenly replied, "Not that
I'm aware."
Never mind
the congrats then, pardner. By the woman-wowin' way, those abs are
still lethal (almost as much as Mama O'Connell's grip).
