Jerry O’Connell on ‘Crossing Jordan’

Posted on Monday, 12th November 2001 at 11:58 PM GMT by Audrey Bowerman

Jerry O’Connell ("Jerry Maguire," "Sliders") will guest-star on NBC’s "Crossing Jordan"
as a straight-shooting police detective who flabbergasts medical examiner Jordan (Jill
Hennessy) by being helpful to her investigation of a murderous bank robbery.

O’Connell portrays a friendly Wisconsin detective who - unlike other law enforcement
authorities in the past - actually aids Jordan’s case as she teams with Garrett (Miguel
Ferrer) to examine what actually happened in a gun battle during a botched holdup.

Although O’Connell first drew notice for his juvenile role in the feature film "Stand by Me"
when he was 11, it wasn’t until years later that he gained more widespread recognition
in the sci-fi series "Sliders." He reappeared on the big screen with notable roles in "Jerry
Maguire," "Scream 2," "Can’t Hardly Wait," "Joe's Apartment," and "Tomcats." He also
appeared in the television movie "What the Deaf Man Heard" and the miniseries "The
60’s."

The episode "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" will be broadcast later this season.
‘Crossing Jordan’ airs Mondays from 10-11 p.m. ET on NBC.

Thanks to TypicalYyan for the heads up on this additional information.
