O'CONNELL
LOVES PLAYING THE GOOD COP
Jerry O'Connell doesn't credit personal charm for his move from frequent
appearances to full-time cast-member status on "Crossing Jordan."
"My character is the cop in this, so they kind of needed me on
this show," deadpans the actor. "They came to me last season
and said, 'Look, we want to make it more like these other shows and
we need a cop, will you be our cop?' It was a right-place, right-time
kind of thing, so I'm loving it." O'Connell's mother is particularly
happy about the job. "On one is prouder that I'm playing a cop
than my mom. She'll say things like, 'I always knew you'd make a good
cop.' I have to remind her that it's make-believe."
